The scones were so delicious, as I’m craving these scones again… They were freshly baked and went so well with the butter and apple jam. I also really like the vibes of this cafe, with the large windows showing the greenery of the garden. It was so relaxing, I recommend this cafe for people who want to spend some quiet time away from the hustle and bustle of Kamakura’s touristy areas.

JR鎌倉駅(東口)より北へ(北鎌倉駅方面へ)歩いて5~6分。 小町通りの喧騒から少し離れた線路脇の小道にひっそりとある『ガレージ ブルーベル』。 此方は手作りのスコーンが有機栽培の茶葉で淹れた美味しい紅茶と共に楽しめるティールーム。 これまで幾度となくお邪魔しているお気に入りの店だけど、そういえばまだ一度もクチコミを書いていなかったっけ。 というわけで、今回はここでいつもいただいているクリームティー(紅茶とスコーンのセット)をご紹介。 セットのスコーンはレギュラー(2玉)とミニ(1玉)から選べ、紅茶もポットとマグカップから選択できる。 ほんのりと温かいスコーンは外がサクサクで中はしっとり。噛むとホロホロと口の中で崩れる、本格的なイングリッシュスコーンだ。 かつて留学先のイギリスの田舎町で食べたスコーンも、確かこんな感じだった気がする。 たまに全体的にしっとりと柔らかい、まるでシュークリームのようなスコーンを出す店があるけど、個人的にはあれはスコーンとしてはちょっと…。 思えばオレがスコーンを好きになるきっかけとなったのもこの店だった。 あれから色々な店のスコーンを食べたけど、自分の中では未だにここのスコーンがナンバーワンであると断言したい。 添えてあるのはこれまた自家製というジャムとクリーム。 甘さ控えめなりんごジャムも、滑らかでミルキーなクロテッドクリームも、スコーンとの相性は言わずもがな。 紅茶は6種類ある中からアッサムをチョイス。ポットに入った紅茶はたっぷりカップ3杯分はある。 普段はコーヒーしか飲まないけれど、スコーンにはやっぱり紅茶だよね。 香り高きアッサムはストレートで飲むとかなり濃くて渋みも強めだが、ミルクと合わせるとちょうどいい具合にまろやかな味わいになる。 柔らかな光が差し込む古民家風情の縁側に、気品のあるイギリスアンティーク家具や室内を自由に徘徊するツンデレ感満載のネコさんたちが違和感なく馴染む居心地のいいティールーム。 女性店主のほんわかとした接客も心地よく、寄るとついつい長居してしまうのだ。 ---------------------------------------- 【ガレージ ブルーベル (Garage Blue Bell)】 神奈川県鎌倉市小町2-4-14 クリームティー・レギュラー (ポット) ¥1750 クリームティー・レギュラー (マグカップ) ¥1650 ----------------------------------------
